“Let me show you how to hear the whispers of the ancient oaks.” — The Druid
He comes to you carrying knowledge of the Celtic otherworlds, mysteries passed down by mouth, from his elders and their elders before them…
He carries a bundle of mugwort in his heart, the dreaming herb, the one that opens the door between the worlds.
He waits for the one who is ready to go further into folk magick and its practices.
He arrives for the one who longs for adventure, the one who aches to sink into their own lineage. If you listen, he will offer guidance. He will take you gently by the hand and lead you down the path, into a world that is awake, where the oak has a voice and the old ways are still walking. He will show you the land is alive, and if you are willing to sit with him, he will give you the old stories.
He is wool, so keep him out of direct sunlight. A sunny windowsill will take the colour out of him over a year or two.
Dust him with a soft brush, or a hairdryer on cold held a little way back.
Don't wash him. A mark will usually lift with a barely damp cloth, pressed rather than rubbed, then left to dry somewhere away from a radiator.
Moths are the real risk with wool. Keep him out in the air rather than sealed away in a drawer, and look him over now and then.
Made by hand from natural materials, so he will change a little with time and handling. Not a toy, and not suitable for children or pets.
Please note: This is a ritual object, not a toy. Keep it away from children and pets, as it may include small parts that could pose a choking or safety hazard. Being made from natural materials, each piece carries slight variations in colour, shape and texture. These are not faults but the mark of a handmade object, and no two will ever be quite alike.
