The selkies are the seal folk of the northern isles, who slip off their skins to walk on land. This rattle carries the longing for sea, the longing for home.
The handle is a single sea stone, worn smooth by the water. The head is horse hide, filled with small sea stones and shells.
Use it to open and close ceremony, for shamanic journeying, for calling to the sea and the seal folk.
This rattle carries a powerful current:
Travelling between worlds
Freedom
Ocean & Land energy
Grief work

This is a ritual object, not a toy. Keep it away from children and pets, as it may include small parts that could pose a choking or safety hazard. Being made from natural materials, each piece carries slight variations in colour, shape and texture. These are not faults but the mark of a handmade object, and no two will ever be quite alike.
