The Ritual Incense Set
The three ritual incenses together. One to clear, one to call in, one to enhance seership.
Ritual Use
To be worked with across a whole rite, blend by blend, clearing the ground, calling in whoever you are working with, then going quiet enough to hear what comes.
To be passed over tools and objects, drums, fans, runes and bones, turning them so the smoke reaches every side.
To be burned at thresholds, a new house, a birth, a death, and transitions.
To be used to bring reverence and beauty into ritual space.
Banish
Lavender, calendula, rosemary, angelica root and pine resin. Clearing and fierce protection.
Invoke
Dried apple, mugwort, rose and pine resin. Presence, grounding and connection to the spirits.
Seer
Meadowsweet, mugwort, chamomile, elderflower, lavender and pine resin. Dreamwork and inner visioning.
Hand blended in ceremony in our small workshop in North Devon, using organically and ethically grown herbs. Each batch is made in small numbers and set with the intention it is made for.
Three jars, 15g each.
How to use
Sit a charcoal disc in a heatproof dish of sand, ash or salt and light the edge. Wait for it to stop sparking and grey over, then lay a small pinch of the blend on top. Add more as the smoke thins.
Use a feather cleansing fan to direct the smoke where you want it. Work in a well ventilated room, and open a window or a door so the smoke has somewhere to go.
Safety
Never leave burning incense unattended. Take care around anyone with breathing difficulties. Keep away from children, pets and anything flammable. Charcoal discs stay hot for a long time, so leave the dish to cool fully before moving it. Not for consumption and not for use on skin. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Made from natural herbs and resins, so colour and scent will vary a little from batch to batch.
