Wing of forward motion
A fan made from a small preserved wood pigeon wing, for moving smoke and clearing the air of a space, a person or an object.
The wing is ethically sourced (found on woodland walks) and preserved with feathers intact, so it fans as a wing naturally would, in one clean sweep. Set into a leather handle with a tigers eye stone embedded into where your thumb would naturally sit.
This fan has the energy of moving forward, finding your path and creating the small steps that get you to where you need to be.
Draw the smoke where you want it, over the body, into the corners of a room, around an object you are setting right. Where breath or hand would be too coarse, the wing moves the smoke with power and intention.
Cleansing with smoke is one of the old ways of tending a space: a pause, a resetting, a way of marking that something has shifted or needs to. The fan is your means of guiding it.
