This drum holds the medicine of what has been hidden. It works on illusion, on the stories you’ve been telling yourself. Born of the depths, it sharpens perception and brings the keeper into relationship with the powers that do not show themselves easily. A drum for clarity and discernment, for harmonising psyche and soma, for standing in the threshold and not turning back.
This drum combines the energies of the deer and the ash tree.
Deer is the one at the wood's edge in the last of the light. She stands still and lets the ears do the work, hearing before it arrives, knowing who is coming long before you do. That’s her gift, a perception that has nothing to do with the thinking mind.
She is heart and tenderness and beauty. She will take you off the path and into the trees, and she will have you notice what is there rather than what you expected.
Ash is Yggdrasil, the world tree of the Norse, the one holding all the realms together on the one trunk. Her roots go down into the dark water and the places of the dead. Her crown is up in the wind and the light. She stands in both at once and doesn’t break, which is what makes her such a companion for journeys. She is the way down and the way up and the holding steady while you travel between.
A doorway and a helping spirit for the work, wherever the work takes you.

Each drum is handcrafted with care and covered by a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship and materials.
If a fault occurs due to the construction of the drum or the materials used, please get in touch and I will work with you to find an appropriate resolution.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper care or storage, environmental conditions, modifications, or normal wear and tear. Variations in tone, appearance, and behaviour are natural characteristics of drums made from hide and other natural materials.

This is a ritual object, not a toy. Keep it away from children and pets, as it may include small parts that could pose a choking or safety hazard. Being made from natural materials, each piece carries slight variations in colour, shape and texture. These are not faults but the mark of a handmade object, and no two will ever be quite alike.
