A 14 inch goat hide frame drum on an ash hoop, with Elder Futhark runes ritually burned into the frame by hand.

Ash was the World Tree in Norse cosmology, Yggdrasil, the tree that holds the nine worlds together. It was on this tree that Odin sacrificed himself to receive the runes. The frame carries that story in the wood , and the runes are burned into it in ceremony to hold intent.

The drum holds the energy of Odin and Freyja. Odin for wisdom, the runes, and the knowledge that comes through sacrifice and seeking. Freyja for seiðr, the old Norse practice of trance and seeing, which she is said to have taught to Odin. Between them they cover the two paths of Norse magic, the runes and the trance, which makes this a drum suited to journeying, rune work, seiðr practice and honouring the Norse gods.

Each drum will arrive with you along with a drum beater, Care Card & Ritual Drum anointing oil.

Drum Warranty
Each drum is handcrafted with care and covered by a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship and materials.
If a fault occurs due to the construction of the drum or the materials used, please get in touch and I will work with you to find an appropriate resolution.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper care or storage, environmental conditions, modifications, or normal wear and tear. Variations in tone, appearance, and behaviour are natural characteristics of drums made from hide and other natural materials.

This is a ritual object, not a toy. Keep it away from children and pets, as it may include small parts that could pose a choking or safety hazard. Being made from natural materials, each piece carries slight variations in colour, shape and texture. These are not faults but the mark of a handmade object, and no two will ever be quite alike.
